MEET TONY

Tony Grimes is a Dallas County community leader, corporate professional, and servant-leader with more than 30 years of experience organizing people, managing institutions, and strengthening neighborhoods across Irving and the greater Dallas County area.

 

Tony served for 20 years as President of the Irving Branch of the NAACP, where he led complex operations, managed budgets, and built lasting partnerships with cities, school districts, and law enforcement agencies. He is a former Irving ISD School Board member, giving him direct experience overseeing public budgets, policy, and accountability, and he has run for Irving City Council twice, further deepening his understanding of local government and community needs.

In addition to his public service, Tony is a successful small business owner and corporate professional, bringing hands-on experience in organizational leadership, financial oversight, and strategic planning. He has also taught financial literacy across the state of Texas, helping families and young people build long-term stability.

A Deacon at Antioch Christian Church, Tony believes community involvement is a responsibility rooted in service, integrity, and stewardship. Whether in the boardroom, the church, or the community, he leads with structure, collaboration, and a deep commitment to Dallas County.
